Nani up for crunch week

United wing wizard Nani has labelled the next week “the most important period of the season”.
Victory over Wigan at the DW Stadium on Saturday leaves the Reds four points clear of Arsenal at the top of the Barclays Premier League. But Sir Alex’s men must now navigate tricky away trips to Chelsea (Tuesday 1 March) and Liverpool (6 March) before welcoming Arsenal to Old Trafford (Saturday 12 March) for an FA Cup quarter-final.
“We have some tough games coming up,” Nani told ManUtd.com.
“It’s the most important period of the season and I think that if we can beat Chelsea and Liverpool then we’ll have a fantastic opportunity to win the league.
“But that’s easy to say: it’s much harder to do it. Chelsea and Liverpool are fantastic teams and obviously they’re desperate to win as well. We know it won’t be easy.
“Of course, we may not be able to win every game, and if we end up getting a draw against somebody then it’s not the end of the world.
"The important thing is not to lose. But we always go into games with the mentality of winning.”
The Reds have been criticised in some quarters this season for being efficient rather than entertaining, particularly on the road. Nani acknowledges United have struggled to fire away from Old Trafford but dismisses any suggestion that he or his team-mates currently lack confidence.

“We’re top of the league so of course we feel good about ourselves. And we must have been doing something right to have reached this point.
"Now it’s important we keep believing in ourselves and concentrate on playing football the way we want to play football.
“We can’t think about other teams and whether or not they’re winning or losing – we just need to win our own games.”
