Susan Boyle has scored a third UK number one album with Someone to Watch Over Me, seeing off competition from new Cher Lloyd and The Wanted releases.
Her new album, which features a blend of covers and original songs, has also entered the US Billboard 200 album chart at number four.
Lloyd's debut collection Sticks & Stones entered the UK chart at four, a place above The Wanted's Battleground.
Rihanna's We Found Love reclaimed the number one spot in the singles chart.
It jumped a place to beat JLS new entry Take A Chance On Me, which made its debut at two.
There were also new entries for Pixie Lott's What Do You Take Me For at 10, Loick Essien's Me Without You at 14, and It Will Rain, by Bruno Mars, at 16.
I Need by Maverick Sabre entered the chart at 18 while Tinchy Stryder's Off The Record was a new entry at 24, a place above Afrojack & Steve Aoki's new release No Beef.
The new album from former Britain's Got Talent contestant Boyle, 50, features covers including the Gerschwin standard title track, Depeche Mode's Enjoy the Silence and Unchained Melody, best known as a Righteous Brothers hit.
Singer Emeli Sande, currently at number four in the singles chart as featured singer on rapper Professor Green's Read All About It, is among writers of new songs on the album.
In 2010, Boyle's The Gift was the most successful album overseas by a UK artist, selling 3.7 million copies.
Elsewhere in the album chart, there was a new entry for And The Waltz Goes On by Andre Rieu & His Johann Strauss Orchestra at seven, while 15-year-old singer-songwriter Birdy's eponymous debut album entered the chart at 13.
Pink Floyd's new greatest hits collection A Foot In The Door (The Best Of) was a new entry at 14, while a reissue of their 1975 album Wish You Were Here entered the chart at 38.
There were also new entries for greatest hits albums by Simon & Garfunkel, at 16, and Diana Ross, at 24.
