Diane Tran Case is Over, but Where are Her Parents?

The truancy case of Diane Tran is now over, as it has already been reported that evil judge Moriarty dropped the charges. What's more, good fortune is continuing to pour down on the 17-year-old Texas honor student and she has made over $100,000.00 in donations -- a steep increase from the $70,000 she was reported as having just mere hours ago!
While it's great news that Diane Tran is no longer in trouble for missing school, there are still other issues that should be brought to attention. It was horrible enough that this poor young woman was arrested and thrown in jail over things that she has absolutely no control over, but what about the source of all of her problems?
Where the hell are her parents?
Diane's parents divorced and split, leaving her to fend for herself while taking care of her little sister. The age of her sister varies from report to report, so it isn't entirely certain at this precise moment whether the child is a baby, a toddler or an older child; nonetheless, they shouldn't have been abandoned by their parents. In fact, most states would prosecute atrocious "parents" like these because there are in fact child abandonment laws that stop this sort of thing from happening.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like the lovely (term used loosely) state of Texas recognizes such a thing. In fact, it seems that since Diane and her sister had been "left with responsible adults" her parents technically didn't "abandon" them. Neither 17-year-old Diane or her little sister were apparently left in conditions that left them at risk of danger or neglect. However, it should be considered criminal abandonment since the teenage daughter of these nimrod parents almost landed herself a criminal record simply because she is busting her ass and doing the very thing that her parents should be doing.
Good grief!
Hopefully Diane uses this $100,000.00 wisely. Hopefully these so-called parents of hers do not come oozing back into the picture once they see how much money she's raised. People like this, who abandon their own so frivolously, often have no scruples about taking from their own as well.
