Yahoo Nabs Google Exec Henrique de Castro To Be COO

 Yahoo this afternoon named Google executive Henrique de Castro to be the company’s chief operating officer, responsible for the company’s sales, operations, meda and business development activities worldwide.
Previously, de Castro was VP of Google’s worldwide Partner Business Solutions group, where he was responsible for advertising platforms and services for Google’s publisher and commerce partners. Before joining Google, de Castro spent two years at Dell; he also previously worked for McKinsey.
De Castro will join the company on or before January 22, 2013.
