A LETTER TO YUE BROTHERS AND SISTERS

A LETTER TO YUE BROTHERS AND SISTERS

Dear brothers and sisters

While certain heads in China are so hot that they wanted to incite the Chinese people to create an atmosphere of chauvinism to serve the invasion and occupation of the the entire South China Sea, as modest citizen of the BachViet family (Yue Peoples), I have an idea that our country Vietnam can be proud to say that we are last and single nation of the BachViet group that can preserve its national independence and sovereignty, and we are trying our best to cope with brutal actions of barbarism taken by our unwanted chauvinist neighbour

Yue Peoples’s territories used to be cradles of wet rice civilization. But, now only one country still exists, that is Vietnam. How sorrowful we are, thinking about our ancient hey days of Yue Peoples!

Yue Peoples possess their own cultural heritages that contribute to the history of mankind, one of which is the bronze drum that every Yue nation used to own. Yet, to date, Vietnam is the only representative of these cultures, that introduces the bronze drum to the world, kept at the UN headquarters.
Descendents of Yue Peoples, just think of this and you see that your ancestors were the victims of the Han people. What a torment!

The whole territory south of the Yangtze River used to belong to us, Yue Peoples. Yet today Vietnam is the last land to be left to worship our common Yue ancestors.

Yue brothers and sister, we have this proverb, “When a horse get ill, all the stable denies food.”
If your ancestors and you yourselves have been the victims of Han People’s expansionism, would you like us to be on the same boat?

Yue brothers and sister! We wish you to do anything you can to preserve the last-left-in-the-world altar for our ancestry.

In the past thousands of years Vietnamese people have strengthened our solidarity and powers to be able to coexist besides unwanted big but bad neighbour. As Yue people, we are peace-loving and always wish to live in harmony with China, but we are willing to sacrifice ourselves to protect our land and people whenever the country is invaded.

Like our ancestors, we respect good cultural valued created by Han people, whose civilization is considered one of the greatest of the world. However, if our peace is threatened by Northern invaders we are prepare to face the worst to come to us.

Dear Yue brothers and sister, I believe you, good-will Chinese and progressive humankind will advocate our people and our just struggle

From the last unlost land of the Yue Peoples, I would like to say “Hello” to you, all Yue people in the world, and wish all the best to you and please support us, your brothers and sisters in this glorious struggle.
